Porn king caught with pants down

KUALA TERENGGANU: The main supplier of pornographic movies in Marang who goes by the nickname Mat Blue was caught red-handed downloading a Thai sex show.

Mat Blue, 36, was caught once in 2007 but was released when police did not have enough evidence to charge him.

However, on May 8 police got the goods on him. After observing his movements for some time, they barged into his cyber cafe and found him downloading the pornography.

Just as the police moved in, eight customers including three teenaged girls ran off.

Mat Blue’s 26-year-old assistant was also detained. Both were released on police bail.

The cops’ success came to light only on Monday when the state police announced it during a press conference.

It is understood that Mat Blue downloaded pornographic pictures and videos and copied them onto CD-Rs which he sold at RM8 each.

Mat Blue was also said to have been supplying pornography to the other cybercafes here and had a ready market among the teenagers in the Bukit Payong area.

Terengganu Commercial Crime chief Supt Azmi Adam said police only moved in when they were sure they had the evidence on Mat Blue.

“All this while we wanted hard evidence although we knew of his activities for a while. This time, he was caught downloading the porn,” he said.

Supt Azmi said cybercafe came under observation after police received numerous complaints from villagers that Mat Blue was eroding the moral values of teenagers.

He said police confiscated seven sex VCDs, two computers and other hardware during the raid,” he said.
