KUALA TERENGGANU: A lover’s spat in front of a supermarket here on Sunday saw two of its staff injured after they were assaulted by the boyfriend when they intervened.
In the 3.30pm incident at Jalan Bukit Kecil, the man hit an assistant with his helmet when he was advised not to create a scene.
The security manager went to help only to be clubbed with a fluorescent light, breaking his right arm and injuring his index finger.
The boyfriend, in his 20s, fled on his motorcycle.
The assistant had a bruised face.
Both received treatment at Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital before lodging a report.
State Criminal Investigation Department deputy chief Superintendent K. Manoharan said the case was being investigated.
