KUALA TERENGGANU (NST): For a 44-year-old labourer here, football is the not-so-beautiful game.
He was stabbed by one of his neighbours at a food stall here yesterday evening following a misunderstanding over a football game days earlier.
The victim, from Kampung Banggol, was said to be having tea with several friends at Kampung Tok Jiring around 5.30pm when the neighbour approached him from behind and allegedly stabbed him with a kitchen knife.
The attacker then fled the scene.
The victim was rushed to the Bukit Tunggal Health clinic where he received four stitches for the cut.
State CID chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Fauzi Abduri said the victim lodged a report later that night.
